As a major step towards connecting our future generations with our culture, traditions and more importantly to our language, Adelaide Marathi Mandal started its Marathi School initiative in Feb 2017. In last two years school has grown steadily and now enjoys a healthy student count. From this year school is recognized as a formal ethnic school by ESASA (Ethnic School Association of South Australia). As result AMV now has a venue, Charles Campbell College in Paradise.
Over the last two years school has identified innovative ways to try and connect students with our roots. School curriculum is tailored to accommodate several key festivities, traditional processions and customs. On those special days school has a session where teachers explain to students through crafts/videos/songs . School also performs regularly on local Indian Radio channel 5EBI 103.1 FM. The latest initiative by school was a hugely successful one day drama workshop. School also participated in ESASA parade.
