Ganesh Chaturthi – 09th Sept 2013 @ 4:30 pm
As per the tradition, Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations will be hosted by Marathi Community at the Ganesh Temple Oaklands Park this year on Monday, 9th Sept 2013 in the evening at 4:30 pm onward. The details of the program will be conveyed as the day gets closer.After the Adelaide Marathi Mandal AGM last month a committee has been formed for the organisation of the same.

Prasad Organisation (प्रसाद ): Dr Subodh Ganu email: subodh.ganu@gmail.com mobile: 0417 834 423. This year we are planning to COOK at Temple. Menu will be of Vegeterian Pulao and it is expected that around 700 devotees will be attending the function. We will be organising the Pulao with the help of volunteer cooking crew and a few professionals who are there to guide us during the process. It surely be challenging task and I ask you to come step forward to join us in this. We will need approx. 10 people to cook and 10 to distribute the Prasad in take away containers. The cooking will be done starting from 11 am in the temple premises. For further details please contact Dr Subodh Ganu. The cost of Maha Prasad will be recovered from the donations. If you wish to donate directly for Maha Prasad please contact Dr Subodh Ganu well in advance. Donation in the form of your time and help during cooking is also greatly appreciated.
Modak (मोदक ): We will be needing around 700 Modakas. We will need volunteers to cook Modakas at home using the standard recepie attached which makes 30 or so. We will need at least 35 families to donate Modakas so that this target can be easily met. Please RSVP to Subodh Ganu regarding the Modakas. Thanks in advance.
Havan Pooja(हवन – पूजा ): There are 4 couples already interested in doing Pooja this year. There is a place for 2 couples more. Please forward your details to Mr Anup Deshmukh if you are interested in doing the Pooja. It is expected by temple that each couple will donate min $ 151 for doing the pooja.
Donation Collection( AMM requests you to donate generously as these donations are directly helping temple in organising this function. It is suggested that donation amount is to $30 per family. But any possible amount will be a great help. Mr Sanjay Raje will be in charge of donations during the function.
House Keeping and Crowd Control: Mr Durgadas Naik & Mr Manish Kawle will be organising the house keeping and crowd control during the function. Those who would like to volunteer are kindly requested to contact him.
